Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter was an American actress, who gained fame in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her including an Oscar. Actresses have an extensive history of working on Broadway off-Broadway, Broadway and various productions. Passionate about acting since her school days she played Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. She was born deaf in the one ear following a bout of mumps but did not permit this to deter her desire to be an actress. While in college, she studied drama and moving in New York City with her goals to achieve them. Hunter had her Broadway debut due to an unplanned encounter with Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together in Broadway Crimes of the Heart. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. The role she was offered came as an actress who played the main character in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in a number of films, TV series as well as movies throughout the span of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
